Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area
A major new exhibit open to the public at the Carnegie Building, headquarters for Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area. The exhibit depicts the major themes of Freedom’s Frontier including the stories of pre-settlement and settlement, Border War and the enduring struggle for freedom. It provokes the emotion and meaning behind the word freedom and encourages the visitor to experience other related sites in the federally designated 41-county national heritage area in eastern Kansas and western Missouri.
