COVID-19 Update: At this time, KU Recreation Services is not accepting reservation or special event requests for the David A. Ambler Student Recreation Fitness Center, due to our COVID modifications. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will consider reservation or special event requests for our outdoor facilities (Shenk Field Complex, Central Field, Sand Volleyball Courts, Adams Campus) on a case-by-case basis. All events must first be registered with the KU Office of Event Management and Protocol. KU Recreation Services opened a new 100,000 square foot facility in fall 2003. In 2008, another 43,000 square feet was added with the Oread addition. (Possible Pool) The Ambler Student Recreation Fitness Center is home to a variety of programs, services and equipment to meet the recreational and fitness needs of the KU Community. The ASRFC has 16,000 square feet of cardiovascular and resistance training equipment, 4 racquetball courts, 6 basketball and volleyball courts, aerobics and martial arts studios, a suspended walking/jogging track, a 42-foot rock climbing wall and an indoor golf simulator.
